• Cappadocia is a mysterious natural museum, a surrealistic lunar landscape of fairy chimneys and strange rock formations chiselled by the able hand of nature. Add to this the early Christian rock churches, the pre-historic underground cities and the vineyards producing the characteristic local wines, and you have a unique experience, which will be forever imprinted on your mind. • Several days can easily be spent exploring Cappadocia. The village of Üçhisar, dominated by a sixty-meter high rock, is a good vantage point from which to survey the extraordinary geology of the surrounding area. The open-air museums of Göreme and Zelve are a must with their fascinating underground churches, decorated with beautiful frescoes, created by the early Christians who inhabited the area between the 6th and 11th centuries. Also of interest is the old town of Avanos, famous for its distinctive pottery from the red clay prevalent in the area.
  
  
• Visitors to Dedeman Cappadocia have the opportunity of witnessing the aesthetic ceremony of the religious sect known as the Mevlana, followers of Celaleddin Rumi, who are based around the city of Konya in central Turkey. He was a great poet and his teachings were predominantly humanist, advocating universal peace and understanding, and championing divine and human love, which he perceived as a single ideal. The Mevlana have become known in the west for their ritual of whirling as a form of meditation and religious expression.
